The best service I ever received came from the bicycle repair shop.

I have an old bike.
Not an e-bike, but second-hand.
And in early November, the pedal started creaking.
It made a squeaking sound and pedaling became increasingly difficult.

I went to the bike repair shop around the corner in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid.
The expert had a solution, of course: he replaced a screw and charged nothing for it.

Wow! How nice, I thought.

But after a few days, the problem returned.
So back to the bike shop…

To my surprise, he opted for a major intervention: he replaced the entire pedal assembly.

Here's the thing:
I didn't have to pay anything for this either.
(And that without any maintenance contract.)

He simply wanted to help.
He believes it's important that a bike works properly,
and that someone can cycle smoothly.
